Roulette Betting

There are two different types of betting in Roulette. One of them is inside bets and the other is outside bets. Inside betting has the boxes for the numbers 1-36 and depending on whether you are playing American or European Roulette there will also be a single and possible a double zero box where you can place a wager. Outside bets are considered group bets. This is where instead of betting on a specific slot, you bet on the color or whether it will be odd or even.

Inside Roulette Betting

Straight Roulette Bets

This is betting that one certain number on the wheel will come up, this bet is done by placing a chip on top of the number that you want to bet on.

Split Roulette Bets

This is betting that one or two numbers will land next to each other on the table. Placing a chip on the line that separates two numbers does this you will win if the ball lands on either of the number.

Street Bet – Trio Bet Or A 3 Number Rouette Bet

In this bet any of the players are going to be wagering that any number in a certain row will hit on the next spin. To be able to make this bet you must place a chip in the outside line of the row that you want to bet on, you will win if any of the 3 numbers in the row comes up!

Roulette Corner Betting – Square Bet Or A 4 Number Bet

This bet allows you to bet that one of 4 different numbers will hit on the very next spin. The numbers do need to all be touching. Moving a chip into the center of any 4 numbers places the bet and if one of those 4 numbers comes up, you win.

5 Number Roulette Betting

This is bet means that you think either 0, 00, 1, 2, or 3 will be the slot the ball lands in on the next spin of the wheel. To make this bet, you place a chip on the outside line that divides 0 and 1.

6 Line Roulette Game Bet

This is betting that 1 of 6 numbers in 2 adjacent rows will come up. You will need to place a chip between two rows on the outside line to make this bet. If the ball lands on any number in the 2 rows you have selected, you will win!

Outside Roulette Betting

Roulette Betting On Red

You are betting that on the next spin, the ball will land in a red number slot. This bet is an even money bet since you have almost a 50/50 chance of hitting it. All you need to do to place a red bet is place a chip on the box marked red.

Roulette Betting On Black

You are betting that the next time the dealer launches the ball it will land in a black number slot. As with the red bet, this bet is an even money bet since you have almost a 50/50 chance of hitting it. To make a black bet, all you need to do to place a chip in the black bet box.

Roulette Even Number Betting

An even bet is just what it sounds like, you place this bet if you think the ball will land in an even slot on the next spin. Since zeros are neither odd nor even they are not included in these bets. All you to do to place an even bet is place your bet on the box marked even.

Roulette Betting On Odd Numbers

Like with the red and black bets, the odd and even bets are opposite of each other. Where the even bet is betting the ball will land in an even slot, the odd bet is betting that the ball will land in an odd slot.

Roulette Low Bet

This is betting that the ball will land in a numbered slot 1-18. To make a low bet you simply place your wager in the box marked low.

Roulette High Bet

This bet is the opposite of a low bet, a high bet is betting that on the next spin the ball will land in one of the slots numbered 19-36. Like all the other bets, it is easy to find where to place this bet as it is clearly marked on the Roulette table.

Roulette Dozen Bets

There are 3 different dozen bets you can make, 1-12, 13-24 and 25-36. These bets mean that you think the next round the ball will land in a slot that is in one of those dozens. Again, where to place this bet is marked on the Roulette table.

Column Betting Roulette

On the roulette table you will see the different ways that the numbers are lined up and separated for the different bets. The numbers are in 3 columns of 12, or 12 rows of 3, however you choose to look at it. A column bet is betting on 1 of the 3 columns that have a dozen numbers in them. If one of the numbers in that column come up, you win.
