The 2010 Primetime Emmys will soon be upon us. They are set to air live, August 29th,. This will be the 62nd airing of the awards. Best Comedy Series: In this category, 30 Rock has been the winner for the last three years. The Office won in 2006. This year, Modern Family will make a push. Lead Actor Comedy: Those of you who enjoy a good comedy, will likely be familiar with many of them men in this category. Jim Parson is the favorite, barely edging out Tony Shalhoub. Shalhoub has had quite a run, winning this category a total of three times for his role in Monk. The last time he won was in 2006. Alec Baldwin has been the man for the last 2 years. He won the statue for his role in 30 Rock. Lead Actress Comedy: Toni Collette won in 2009, Tina Fey the year before and Julia Louis-Dreyfus took home the top prize in 2006. Here are the odds for this year, Edie Falco (+130), Toni Collette (+250), Lea Michele (+500), Amy Poehler (+700) and Julia Louis Dreyfus (+700).
