NBA Betting Preview 11-18-2010

Thursday night at nba betting websites is traditionally a big night for real money online basketball betting on the NBA. Two games are always televised on TNT, and large audiences tune in around the nation to catch some basketball action.

Because the games are on national TV, bettors have the opportunity to watch the teams they wager. This is a little bit more exciting than simply watching box scores all night.

One of the basketball betting matchups that is nationally televised on Thursday is the Phoenix Suns versus the Orlando Magic. The Magic is the home team and they are favored by 9 points. Although the Suns lost Amare Stoudemire to free agency, they are still a formidable team. As long as point guard Steve Nash is around, the Suns are going to put up a lot of points.

With that said, the Magic are one of the best teams in the NBA and should be able to give Phoenix a run for their money. The Suns will have a difficult time stopping center Dwight Howard. He will be able to pull down rebounds and score at will in the paint. Even though 9 points seems like a big spread, the Magic will be able to cover.

The other nationally televised game is the Denver Nuggets visiting the Portland Trailblazers. Portland is favored by 3 points. While the Blazers are a solid team, guard Brandon Roy has been hampered by a knee issue and is not playing as well as usual.

The Nuggets, however, are healthy and athletic. Star Carmelo Anthony should give the Blazers plenty of trouble. In addition, the point guard tandem of Ty Lawson and Chauncey Billups should be able to run all over Portland. The Nuggets should easily win – bet on Denver on Thursday night.

The other game on Thursday is the LA Clippers against the Indiana Pacers. Host Indiana is favored by 8.5 points. The Clippers, led by rookie phenom Blake Griffin will keep it competitive, so it’s unlikely that Indiana will lose by more than 5 or 6 points. It is safe to wager on the Clippers.
