Atlanta Falcons VS Green Bay Packers NFL Playoff Betting Prediction

In the NFC, the Green Bay Packers, coming in as the sixth seed will meet up with the Atlanta Falcons; the top seed. Atlanta finished the regular season with a 13-3 record, and have not played since their 31-10 win on January 2nd over the Panthers. That win wrapped up the NFC South title, and also the #1 seed. Green Bay used wins in the final two games of the regular season, along with a wildcard weekend win over the Eagles to get to the NFC Final Four. These two teams played on November 28th in Atlanta, with the Falcons walking away with a 20-17 win.

The Packers were 3-3 after their week 6 overtime loss to Miami. After winning four straight games, Green Bay then went 1-3 and were 8-6 with games against the Giants and Bears remaining. Green Bay won both games and got in as the final wildcard team in the NFC. The Packers used the right arm of Aaron Rodgers to score 388 points on the season. Rodgers threw for 3922 yards and 28 touchdowns on the season.

His top target on the season was Greg Jennings. Jennings caught 76 passes, for over 1200 yards and 12 touchdowns. The Packers ranked fifth in passing yards, and fifth against the pass on the season.

The Falcons controlled the NFC South most of the season. After losing week one to Pittsburgh, Atlanta rattled off four straight, before falling to Philadelphia. Their final loss of the season came to New Orleans. On the season, the Falcons out scored their opponents 414 – 288. Matt Ryan, the Falcons quarterback completed 357 of 571 passes for 3705 yards and 28 touchdowns.

Running back Michael Turner was an absolute beast for the Falcons rushing for 1371 yards and 12 touchdowns. Also in the department of studs – Roddy White. White caught 115 passes on the season; 10 in the end zone.

When you are playing in the playoffs; all teams are good. But both of these teams have Super Bowl potential. We feel the winner of this game will be playing in the Super Bowl. Now beating Chicago or Seattle will not be easy – but these two can do it. Matt Ryan has been absolutely outstanding at home.

He has the calmness to take control of the game late if needed. In saying that, Aaron Rodgers picked up his first postseason win. This seems to be a year where Rodgers comes into his own. We like Green Bay on the road +2.5 over Atlanta. Green Bay gets to the NFC Finals as a 6 seed.
