Last year, Mark Ingram was the recipient of the very prestigious Heisman trophy. Though he won the coveted statue in December, it was his play in October against the South Carolina Gamecocks that some people believe, earned him the bronze statue. That game, he ran for an impressive 246 yards and scored the winning touchdown. That performance catapulted him over favorites Tim Tebow (Florida) and Colt McCoy (Texas). This year, Ingram is back and bookmakers have made him to odds on favorite to win.
However, some experts are suggesting that you him repeating is not a given because the may not even be the best running back on his team. Reportedly, Trent Richardson, a sophomore and Ingram’s backup may have the bigger upside.
